Hiroshima
The park is filled with memorials to all sorts of groups of people that were killed in the blast. One of the more impressive is this burial mound where they burned thousands of bodies for lack of anything else to do with them.

Surrounding the mound people still attached tokens of remembrance. Origami cranes in colorful paper is a popular one. It's a symbol of longevity. I thought of Ground Zero in New York and how long symbols of remembrance will be placed there.
