Aukland I flew into Auckland from Australia and lucked out with a great hotel, however I was only there one day. My adventure that day was to take this ferry over to an island that is a small dead volcano, and climb to the top of the volcano. It was very scenic from the top of the rim. After my hike up the volcano and back I returned to the mainland and relaxed in the rooftop Jacuzzi at my hotel to watch the sunset. At night I hopped a cab to the fun part of town. There I had a nice dinner at a cafe and a great time at a jazz bar called Grand Central featuring live music. Yes... I liked Auckland, and I felt I was going to like New Zealand. You are here...
