Dinner cruise, Bangkok
After 24 hours of travelling from NYC to Bangkok via Tokyo I rested and settled into the Khao San Road scene in Bangkok. On the plane I met a Canadian named Mark, and shared a cab with another couple into town. My first day in Bangkok I randomly ran into Mark and the couple (who never met each other before) at the same bar. We sat outside and drank most of the day.

The only other prearranged reservations I had for my entire trip, aside from the hotel for the first night I was in Bangkok, was the Loy Nava Dinner Cruise.

Very expensive for Thailand standards, but I wasn't aware of that yet. It was, however, a great authentic Thai dinner of about 8 courses! I would rank it up there as one of my best Thai meals.
