Sukhothai The train went to Phitsanulok. I secured a hotel room and the next day went straight to a town close by called Sukhothai. This was the capitol of the first Thai empire in the 1300's. The bus ride out there takes a while, and somehow I ended up on a nice bus. They played the movie Blade 2 as we went along. Very violent movie and I watched as the passengers all cringed as this movie was being shoved down our throats. Once I reached the park area I rented a bicycle, which kindly took this picture of me. Again what I found neat is that these ruins are still used by locals for worship. These aren't so much attractions as they are active temples and shrines. You are here...
