Kanchanaburi Trek
I spent a quick day in Bangkok and signed up for a two day one night trek to the Kanchanaburi region. This was the booby prize because I was unable to plan a trip to Cambodia.

It was a very unorganized trek, nothing like what we had for the northern trek. We were herded from van to van, from sight to sight in a whirlwind of confusion. And it is hard to call it a trek as we had very little hiking involved.

But it enabled us to see these things that would be tough to do on your own.

The draw of the area is the River Kuai and sights that recognize the POWs that died building a railroad during WWII. The first stop was the War Cemetery.
