Bangkok I headed out around noon to do a day of touring around Bangkok. As often as I had been in Bangkok I still had not actually done any sightseeing. So I set out to see the Palace first. En route to the palace I was headed off by a Thai woman who pretended to be helpful by saying that the palace was closed till 2 PM, so I should go see some other sights she pointed out on my map. One is pictured here, and come to think of it, the buddha looks just like her. I took her advice being stupid and thinking she is genuine when in fact she was a plant to draw you in to shop. A custom suit shop was of course on her list of sights. I was going to ignore the suit place and see all the other sights, until I fell into plant number 2. He was a Thai kid who, at one of the temples, struck up a conversation with me and insisted that I not miss the suit place as it has amazing deals. You are here...
