Bangkok The palace grounds are incredibly elaborate. I kept imagining that this is what all the ruins looked like before they were remodeled as ruins. This was all very different from the stuff I had been seeing, and much more gaudy than any of the active temples I had seen so far. English tour guides are available and might be a good idea, however, I didn't get one. They were very strict about having no sleeveless (short sleeves OK) shirts, no shorts, and you must have closed sandals or shoes on. I'll let you just walk around here in quiet... You are here...
