Bangkok Across the river from Wat Pho is Wat Arun. It's a quick cheap ferry ride across. This is an impressive sight from across the river when it is lit up at night. But up close it is interesting studying the mosaic pieces imbedded in it's surface. They are all broken pieces of porcelain. Chinese ships arriving in Bangkok would use the porcelain as ballast and then discard it. You are here...
